Join our Second Line Operational Risk team and play a key role in forming an independent view of our Retail Bank's Operational Risk profile to effect change in Non-Financial Risk Management culture across the organisation. What role will you play?

You will review and challenge the scope and outcomes of business risk reporting and key risk indicators, targeted assessments, significant incidents, project and assurance activities, ensuring best practise is implemented and opportunities for improvement are identified within the Operational Risk Framework.

In addition, you will provide training and awareness of key risk management policies and contribute to projects that deliver our overall Operational Risk Strategy. 

What you offer

  • Prior experience in an incident management team, control function, assurance or internal/external audit role, gained within a financial or professional services firm (preferably with Operational Risk Management experience in a Line 1 or Line 2 capacity within the Banking and Financial Services industry).
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask, present new ideas and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Tenacious and agile, with a proven ability to sustain high levels of performance in a fast-paced, output focused environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to uncover hidden insights and form an independent view of the risk profile of the organisation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders and build effective working relationships.

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow.
