Our Internal Audit team plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of Risk Management for our Banking and Financial Services division. You will be part of a dynamic team that collaborates across global hubs, ensuring our audit processes are robust and aligned with our business objectives.

What role will you play?

As a Senior Manager you will lead and assess the effectiveness of Macquarie’s internal control framework, risk management, and governance systems arising from the audits you are involved in. You will primarily cover activities across Banking and Financial Services, Macquarie's retail banking, business banking and wealth management offering. This immersive and fast-paced role will give you the chance to work with recognised experts in their field both within our Internal Audit Division, Line 2 and across Banking and Financial Services. 

What you offer

  • 7+ years' experience in a comparable Internal/External Audit or Risk Management role
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise audit reports and confidently present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Proven experience in managing and developing staff, both as a People Manager and as a Project Manager leading audit engagements from planning through to completion
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels, fostering a partnership approach to audit and risk management
  • Experience in auditing AI and Data Risk, leveraging AI and data analytics to drive insightful, risk-focused audit outcomes is highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of the financial services sector, with commercial knowledge and experience in Retail Banking, Business Banking, and/or Wealth Management is valuable.
