What role will you play?

As an originator, you will work alongside the Head of Origination in Oslo to identify and evaluate new lending opportunities in northern Europe, and potentially other regions based on your network. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with shipowners, advisors, and capital providers in regulated European loan markets, including the Nordics and Germany, while collaborating with the Zurich team covering other global markets. Your key responsibilities include sourcing and assessing credit opportunities in the shipping and maritime sectors, developing strong industry relationships, supporting the growth of the Shipping Finance portfolio, and working effectively within a diverse, international team. 

What you offer

  • 5+ years' successful track record in investment banking or in private markets
  • Demonstrable experience in sourcing new investment opportunities and building relationships with borrowers, sponsors and advisors
  • Strong connections within the maritime industry network and a passion for ship finance
  • Commercial acumen, analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Collaborative spirit with an ability to work independently and an Outstanding academic background
  • Fluency in Scandinavian or German languages is advantageous
