The Principle Finance Operations team is responsible for the operational management of pre-settlement to maturity, of a varied investment portfolio of debt and equity transactions as well as balance sheet returns for funding and capital management.

What role will you play?

You will collaborate with key internal stakeholders to oversee the approval, setup, settlement, and ongoing management of both debt and equity transactions, ensuring compliance with risk management policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will also include transaction execution, portfolio management, monthly balance sheet and funding profiling, and the management of deal cash flows.

You will also conduct operational analysis of new transactions, coordinate conflicts checks, administer loans using Loan IQ, and manage borrower covenants. Additionally, you will handle ongoing reporting for stakeholders and maintain accurate reconciliation of internal records and systems.

  • Strong academic background with tertiary qualifications in accounting, economics, finance, or business
  • Ideally 3-5 years’ experience in a similar operational role within banking and finance; experience with loan management systems (e.g., Loan IQ) is advantageous but not essential
  • Proven organisational and time management skills, high attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong numerical ability, intermediate to advanced Excel skills, problem-solving capability, and understanding of loan management.
