The Product Control team plays a critical role in supporting the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for our trading activities. Our team acts as a key control function between Front Office, Risk Management, and Finance, ensuring that trading results are correctly recorded, analysed, and reported.

What role will you play?

You will play an important role in ensuring the accurate reporting and analysis of daily P&L for trading desks. You will be responsible for preparing and validating daily P&L reports, ensuring correct attribution for various financial products such as derivatives, bonds, and equities. By analysing P&L drivers, including market movements and trading activity, you will provide valuable insights and commentary to management and trading desks. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with traders, risk management, and operations teams to resolve P&L discrepancies and support business objectives. 

You will also perform critical reconciliation activities, ensuring alignment between front-office and back-office systems, and promptly resolving any breaks. As part of your role, you will contribute to process improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies and supporting automation efforts to improve operational efficiency. Ensuring compliance with internal policies, controls, and regulatory requirements will be a key aspect of your work, as you help maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

What you offer

• Tertiary degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a high level of attention to detail
• Knowledge of financial products (e.g., derivatives, bonds, equities) and an understanding of financial markets
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, experience with VBA, Python, or other programming languages is valuable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders
• A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of accounting principles and P&L concepts is highly regarded.
