Join our highly-rated Equity Research team in Hong Kong and help further expand our market reach across Asia. Working closely with a senior analyst covering the China Auto, Battery and EV sectors, you will have the opportunity to contribute to China strategy in an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture.

What role will you play?

As a member of a high-performing team, you will take ownership of updating and maintaining financial models and industry databases, managing market analysis, and preparing client presentations and briefings. You will play a key role in communicating our investment ideas to global clients through writing, reviewing and previewing quarterly results, sector updates and thematic reports.

Your role will also involve direct engagement with regional and global institutional clients, participation in client events, interaction with Chinese and regional corporates, and supporting sales teams with client requests. In addition, you will actively contribute to idea generation and initiate coverage on new companies.

What you offer

  • A tertiary qualification in a quantitative, economics, finance or similar discipline
  • 2+ years’ relevant experience in fast-paced financial institutions including sell-side research, buy-side research, investment banking or similar environments
  • Strong quantitative skills and numerical literacy with a track record of working collaboratively across internal teams and engaging external stakeholders. Experience gathering data using financial systems like Bloomberg, Factset and WIND are an advantage
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build good relationships with large corporate clients and internal teams. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required due to the sector and client coverage of the role
  • A self-motivated, inquisitive and flexible lateral thinker with a can-do attitude, strong drive to succeed and willingness to learn
  • Experience covering relevant sectors would be an advantage.
