What role will you play?

As an AI Assurance Technical Expert, you lead hands-on technical assurance engagements that validate real AI systems across Macquarie. You review code and architecture for scalability, security and compliance, and advise delivery teams on implementing evaluation frameworks and observability tooling to ensure trustworthy AI solutions. You document findings and remediation plans clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences, and collaborate with stakeholders across our central service groups and operating groups to embed best practices into engineering standards and governance policies. You also develop technical assessment tools and frameworks to streamline assurance processes and drive continuous improvement in AI engineering practices. While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require three days a week in our advertised location.

What you offer

  • Expertise in software engineering, machine learning and AI system design, with experience in code review and architecture assessment
  • Familiarity with AI evaluation frameworks and observability tools for AI/ML and agentic systems
  • Experience working with cloud-based AI platforms and MLOps pipelines in regulated environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is preferred
