The Macquarie Insurance Facility team is an aggregated insurance buying programme that delivers portfolio benefits to Macquarie and third-party Private Equity and Infrastructure portfolio companies.

Through its scale and buying power, it has delivered savings in excess of $215m to participating businesses, and in addition to the Macquarie assets, it is now accessed by over 40 Private Equity firms.

The Macquarie assets and third-party businesses represent a combined 1000 companies and over $1.8bn of premium spend, making it one of the largest buyers of insurance in the world.

What role will you play?

You will regularly interact with brokers and key insurance markets and be responsible for embedding and developing relationships with portfolio companies and prospects, helping to optimise the usage and delivery of insurance solutions for Macquarie and third-party businesses.

Your role will involve overseeing the asset portfolio and helping to manage renewal processes, articulating our offerings and market value to brokers and insurers, and attending a variety of meetings and events to help further boost the franchise.

You will also meet with portfolio companies and third-party prospects to gain a better understanding of their insurance requirements, their current programmes and any potential changes to their businesses which will affect insurances.

What you offer

  • 2-5 years’ experience in an insurance role, liaising with a range of stakeholders involved in insurance transactions
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships and concisely articulate our offerings and market value to brokers and insurers
  • Enthusiasm to work proactively within a dynamic, team-orientated environment
  • Desire to work in a role that affords an unusual breadth of exposure, spanning the whole insurance ecosystem and every type of insurance
