Seize this opportunity for an internship with our Market Risk team in Hong Kong, working in an exciting and dynamic environment where your contribution is recognized from day one. The 12-week Summer Internship will start in June 2026 and will provide valuable on-the-job training and learning opportunities

Our Market Risk department measure and limit Macquarie's exposure to adverse movements in market factors and is responsible for setting, monitoring, reporting and enforcing risk limits across all the trading areas of the Group. The team work closely with front office to ensure that any risks arising from new ventures are fully understood and adequately constrained.

What role will you play?

You will oversee the monitoring of risk metrics, provide daily reporting to senior management, set and manage appropriate trading limits, analyse trades and review new products for a range of financial markets. In collaboration with staff globally, you will understand what drives financial markets and keep abreast of market news and trends to identify potential risks.

What you offer

Currently undertaking a bachelor’s degree or higher with a focus on finance/economics, engineering, science, maths or technology
Strong analytical ability and decision-making skills
Effective interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders across all levels, including regular interaction with the front office traders
The ability to manage multiple tasks including day to day activity and problem solving as well as higher level, long term activities and objectives
A keen interest in financial markets.
