We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated OD Consultant to support the delivery of talent management practices within our Banking and Financial Services Group, who deliver an award-winning and market-leading range of digital-first personal banking, to approximately 2.2 million clients across Australia. What role will you play?

You will play a key role in delivering Banking and Financial Services group-wide talent and performance management initiatives, to enhance performance, employee experience and organisational effectiveness. Reporting to and partnering with the Talent and Organisational Development Lead, you will take ownership of independently managing the delivery of the annual performance and talent cycle; including the communication, change management, capability-building initiatives, and data governance. Talent initiatives include the annual performance and reward, promotion, objective setting and development processes; succession planning and employee listening survey. Empowered to drive efficiency, you will identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements

You will lead analysis and develop insights to support the business to make informed decisions on their talent, whilst contributing to a range of
organisational development initiatives, including DEI, recognition, succession planning, employee engagement, and organisational design.

As part of this role, you will also have the opportunity work closely with the Senior People & Culture Partner to Wealth and Business Banking to support HR advisory and day-to-day tactical delivery of divisional people initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s degree or other relevant tertiary qualifications in disciplines such as Organisational Psychology, HR, business or related field, with demonstrated experience gained within either a Talent, Organisational Development or HR role
  • Proven expertise across disciplines of people, culture, engagement, talent, performance and reward, change, organisational development
  • Strong project management skills to plan, manage and deliver on time, across multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical skills to compile, analyse and interpret data, translating them into actionable insights, coupled with strong communications skills to clearly articulate insights and recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with a diverse range of Macquarie stakeholders at all levels
  • Forward thinking, innovative and generative AI fluency
  • Innate curiosity and creative problem-solving skills to understand complex business requirements and deliver pragmatic, innovative solutions.
