In this role, you will be responsible for writing and driving the implementation of low-level designs for priority initiatives. You will have close, hands-on involvement in the code that our squads produce to ensure quality, and you will mentor and guide squads and their engineers in quality engineering and development. You will work closely with our Principal Engineer (PE) and your co-Staff Engineer (SE) to break down the PE’s high-level designs and product objectives into detailed components for our squads to develop. When functionality is new or challenging, you will write working components and then collaborate with the squads to flesh them out into complete end-to-end products. As our platforms are at the core of DevOps practices, you will join incidents with your team to diagnose and solve critical issues, regardless of seniority. Following an incident, you will actively participate in the post-mortem process to improve our product, technologies, and team.
