Join our Commodity Markets and Finance division to support the COO team. As part of the Commodity Markets and Finance COO team your role will be dedicated to working with Commodity Markets and Finance businesses and support areas to ensure that the businesses operate efficiently and effectively to meet strategic goals.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 4 days a week in our office location.

What role will you play?

You will work with the Commodity Markets and Finance COO team, which supports day‑to‑day operations across several key areas. The team provides middle‑office support to various trading desks to ensure that deals, rates, risk positions, and P&L are completely and accurately represented in the trading systems. It is also responsible for monitoring, controlling, and reporting transaction activity related to booking models. In addition, the team manages commodities‑related bookings, including brokerage and funding cost allocations. The Commodity Markets and Finance COO function oversees regulatory reporting and the controls associated with it, as well as internal controls such as trade monitoring, reconciliations, and exception management.

What you offer

  • A degree in a technical field (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science) with 1-5 years of relevant work experience
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on output quality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
