Our Risk Technology team plays a pivotal role in supporting Macquarie’s Risk Management Group, an independent and centralised function dedicated to overseeing, monitoring, and reporting on material risks across the organisation. We partner closely with business units to deliver robust technology solutions that underpin risk management, compliance, and change initiatives, ensuring Macquarie’s risk strategies are both effective and innovative.

What role will you play?

As an Enterprise Data Architect, you will shape the strategic direction of our cloud-native data platforms, collaborating with teams across Macquarie to design scalable solutions that support risk management objectives. You will develop and embed data architecture frameworks and principles, ensuring consistency and quality across projects. Your role will involve advising on best practices, establishing data governance policies, and translating business requirements into effective data models and solutions. You will also play a key part in stakeholder engagement, technology evaluation, and mentoring junior colleagues, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

What you offer

  • Extensive experience in data architecture, data modelling, and cloud-native data solutions, with a strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing data governance frameworks, ensuring data integrity, security, and privacy within risk management environments
  • Advanced skills in SQL and database management systems, alongside familiarity with data warehousing, integration, and analytics technologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, enabling effective engagement with technical and non-technical stakeholders across diverse teams
  • A commitment to fostering learning and development, with experience mentoring junior team members and promoting best practices in data management.
