The AI SDLC Developer Productivity and Enablement team builds and maintains the source control, CI/CD, and developer productivity products that run on top of the organisation’s platform infrastructure. We enable engineering teams to deliver software efficiently by providing customised automation, maintaining self-hosted GitHub Actions runners, creating reusable workflow templates, and ensuring integrations are seamlessly maintained so business application teams can plug in to their day-to-day delivery. The team is driving the adoption of agentic engineering principles into developer workflows, bringing the organisation into new ways of working shaped by AI.

What role will you play?

As a junior member of the AI SDLC Developer Productivity and Enablement team, you will help build and maintain the SCM, CI/CD pipelines, and developer productivity tooling that engineering teams rely on daily. You will contribute to maintaining the organisation’s GitHub Actions runner fleet, developing reusable workflows, and ensuring internal integrations work seamlessly for business application teams. You will apply agentic engineering principles as a core part of your daily workflow to deliver quality, maintainable solutions. Collaborating closely with development teams, you will identify pain points in their delivery processes, help design customised automation where it adds value, and contribute to embedding agentic engineering principles into the organisation’s developer workflows.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and GitHub Actions, including an interest in building custom runners and authoring reusable workflows
  • Exposure to or strong interest in programming languages such as Golang and Python, and comfort with shell scripting
  • Understanding of or eagerness to learn declarative GitOps CD using ArgoCD and Infrastructure as Code practices
  • Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for agentic engineering using tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot with proper engineering discipline
  • Awareness of source control management practices, developer workflow integrations, and observability and logging tools such as Grafana and Splunk
  • Experience of using AI agents as collaborative partners across the full development lifecycle - design, implementation, testing, and review, not as a shortcut that bypasses engineering rigour
  • Ability to ensure AI-assisted output meets the same standards as hand-written code: proper test coverage, code review, documentation, and production readiness
  • Ability to write clear specifications, context, and constraints that direct AI agents to produce high-quality, maintainable solutions rather than throwaway prototypes
  • Continuous learning mindset and able to stay current with rapidly evolving agentic tooling and techniques, actively experimenting with new models and integrations to improve team productivity
  • Ability to apply engineering judgment to validate, test, and refine AI-generated code and configurations before they reach production environments.
