Our Banking and Financial Services Treasury Regulatory Reporting team in Sydney is dedicated to producing accurate client tax reporting, balance sheet and statistical reports for external authorities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. We work collaboratively with key business stakeholders and other treasury and finance teams to uphold robust control standards and support Macquarie’s commitment to regulatory excellence.

What role will you play?

As an Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and review of regulatory reports, particularly for client tax reporting returns due to the Australian Taxation Office. You will utilise your skills in data analysis to support decision-making processes, create and maintain detailed documentation, and perform detailed analysis and impact assessments on tax regulatory matters. You will engage with internal stakeholders, analyse data to inform decision-making, and participate in process improvements to ensure adherence to compliance and control standards.

What you offer

• Tertiary degree in a related field such as Business, Finance, Commerce, or Law
• Previous experience in the banking or non-bank lending industry and knowledge of regulatory reporting (preferable)
• Passion for data and/or regulatory reporting in a regulated environment
• Strong detailed and analytical mindset with a proven ability to work with large amounts of data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team with a range of stakeholders
• An understanding of Australian Taxation Reporting is desirable.
