Be part of a new capability at Macquarie. Market Services is undertaking a greenfield rebuild of the post-trade lifecycle, re-architecting how trades are processed, validated, settled and reconciled across Commodities and Global Markets.

You’ll be part of a team that is redefining how clients, counterparties and internal teams interact with the platform. This is a first-principles redesign of the digital interaction layer, delivered through a modern, API-enabled, event-driven platform with AI embedded at its core.

What role will you play?

As the Engineering Product Owner for digital channels, you will own the digital interaction strategy for Market Services, shaping how our platform is accessed, operated and experienced. You will set the product vision, roadmap, and target experience, ensuring interactions are structured, scalable, and integrated across the lifecycle.

You will transform operational channels by replacing manual processes with digital interfaces such as portals, APIs, structured workflows, and automation. This includes assessing and evolving existing capabilities to support a modern post-trade environment.

You will convert complex operations into intuitive, end-to-end digital workflows, tightly integrated with lifecycle orchestration, data platforms, and event-driven systems to enable straight-through processing and eliminate fragmentation.

You will embed AI at the core of interactions—driving intelligent routing, automation, and exception management while leading cross-functional teams to deliver reusable, scalable platform capabilities with long-term commercial value.

  • Exceptional product thinking in engineering led environments, shaping what gets built, why it matters, and focusing on outcomes over features.
  • Proven track record building digital platforms and workflow systems from the ground up, with a bias toward creating new solutions solutions rather than optimising legacy.
  • Strong grasp of API and event-driven architectures, with the ability to design for scalability, reuse, and extensibility.

  • Deep belief in AI agents as force multipliers, with hands-on or strong exposure to Large Language Model (LLM) powered automation, agentic workflows, and AI-enabled document/process automation.
  • Comfortable making build-vs-extend decisions, driving platform reuse, challenging conventions, and ideally bringing experience in capital markets, post-trade, or fintech environments.
