Our Aggregate Risk & Prudential team sits within the Risk Management Group and supports Macquarie’s banking entities to meet their regulatory obligations. The team provides oversight and insight to help ensure the effective management of prudential and geopolitical risks across the organisation.

What role will you play?

As a Senior Analyst, you will support strategic decision-making and prudential risk management across a range of businesses. You will work closely with stakeholders to review and advise on regulatory considerations for new and existing business activities, helping to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations. You will contribute to discussions on prudential compliance and geopolitical risk, while supporting engagements with the banking regulator, including reviews and information requests. In addition, you will monitor regulatory developments and industry practices, and help maintain policies, frameworks and documentation that support ongoing compliance.

What you offer

  • Experience in a corporate environment, ideally within financial services, another regulated industry, or a professional services firm
  • An interest in the Australian financial sector and understanding of regulated business activities
  • Awareness of global financial developments and their potential impact on organisations
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • High attention to detail, a curious mindset, and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
