The Risk Management Group's Data Digital Design & Engineering Data Delivery team supports the division in the uplift & delivery of data to support business objectives and transformation programs. The team works with business stakeholders to conduct analysis, gather and define requirements, and partners with Technology to tailor solutions and data architecture to deliver on business needs. 

This role will sit within the Financial Risk portfolio, supporting the Credit Risk division in the delivery of data requirements & data solutions, across capabilities stemming from regulatory drivers, continuous improvement and greenfield opportunities.

What role will you play?

As a Manager within the Data Delivery team, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand both regulatory and internally driven business needs, translating these into clear data deliverables and functional requirements. You will perform data analysis to build an understanding of data and modelling processes, and help define and design data pipeline solutions that align with business objectives. In this role, you will also collaborate with the broader data team to ensure adherence to data design patterns and architectural principles, while supporting the uplift of the organisation’s data capabilities, particularly within Credit Risk. Your responsibilities will include coordinating end-to-end delivery of data solutions, ensuring best practice in data management and architecture, managing risks and issues with clear remediation plans, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across the Credit division and wider enterprise teams.

  • Background as a data business analyst, data analyst, credit analyst, architect or a similar role within financial services or risk management
  • Data analysis or analytics experience using SQL or Alteryx is beneficial
  • You will have the ability to gather requirements from stakeholders with a technical lens and mindset to conceptualise from the get-go. You’ll also be passionate about data and hold an inquisitive mindset with a genuine desire to understand and solve problem
  • Strong understanding of data architecture & management principles, including data mesh, governance, quality, and lifecycle management.  
  • Familiarity with Credit or Financial Risk management, data strategies and platforms with certifications in related fields being advantageous.
