What role will you play?

As an Associate Director, you will help shape and lead the delivery of cross-Group Data & AI risk reduction and enablement initiatives, ensuring activities are executed in a structured, prioritised and scalable way. Your role sits at the intersection of business demand, data producers and consumers, and data and AI governance. Your role also translates enterprise data management, responsible AI governance and risk priorities into practical delivery approaches that deliver business outcomes, improve control effectiveness, data usability and AI readiness.
 
Working closely with senior stakeholders across business, technology and risk functions, you will support the development of scalable governance, control and remediation approaches; improve visibility and prioritisation through data insights and reporting, and contribute to AI-enabled remediation initiatives. You will also help coordinate delivery, manage dependencies and priorities, and drive continuous improvement in governance, tooling and data management capabilities across the organisation.

  • Experience leading complex cross-functional delivery in federated environments, ideally spanning data governance, data delivery, risk and control uplift, and AI governance or AI-enabled initiatives.
  • Strong capability in structuring ambiguity, shaping pragmatic approaches, influencing senior stakeholders and helping translate policy and risk intent into executable outcomes
  • Experience improving visibility, prioritisation and execution through governance data, management information, tooling and scalable operating patterns
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to partner effectively across business, technology, risk and governance teams
  • Strong understanding of data management, data products, risk and control concepts and AI governance, with the ability to apply these in a practical, value-creating and delivery-supportive way.
