Join our Country Finance team and play a key role in delivering high-quality financial, tax and regulatory support across Macquarie’s Philippine entities. What role will you play?

Working in a collaborative and dynamic environment, you will partner closely with finance colleagues supporting multiple legal entities to ensure consistency, accuracy, and excellence in service delivery. Your key responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements, income tax returns, related party transaction reporting, and other regulatory submissions to the BIR and SEC. You will perform month-end accounting activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, investigation and resolution of reconciling items, and intercompany cash settlements with both onshore and offshore counterparties.

In addition, you will prepare and file monthly and quarterly tax returns, including withholding tax, VAT, and fringe benefits tax (FBT), ensuring accurate and timely submission of supporting information and remittance journals. You will support tax audit activities by assisting with the reconciliation and investigation of BIR findings, analyse expenses and operational reports to identify and explain variances, and ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately in the appropriate accounts. Additionally, you will also contribute to maintaining compliance with the Macquarie financial control framework by upholding strong controllership standards, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality work, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date process documentation. Furthermore, you will serve as a key point of contact for responding to queries from clients and internal stakeholders, while providing support for ad hoc requests and other finance-related activities as required.

  • CPA holder with 1 year relevant accounting experience
  • External audit exposure or assistance in a BIR tax audit examination is an advantage
  • Strong team player who upholds appropriate workplace behaviour and standards
  • Experience in performing financial and accounting control tasks including general accounting and reconciliations
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards with exposure to IFRS an advantage 
  • Good working knowledge of ERP and financial accounting systems, reporting tools and Microsoft Excel 
  • High attention to detail with a consistent level of high-quality output
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining robust financial controls while building trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
