As an intern with Macquarie Capital, you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients and partners make opportunity reality through the innovative advice and flexible capital solutions we provide. You’ll join a team passionate about building a better future.
What role will you play?
Throughout the ten-week internship, you will be embedded in our business and make a real contribution to the work we undertake for our clients.
As part of this program, you will:
- Take part in an orientation to learn about Macquarie business groups, with your fellow interns and expand your professional network.
- Join our formal training, including financial modeling and presentation skills, but at its core the intern experience provides practical on-the-job learning to further your career. You’ll build strong connections and work collaboratively with your fellow interns while also partnering directly with our business leaders on meaningful and challenging work.
- You will receive support from your manager and aligned mentor as you gain genuine insight into our industry.
- You’ll participate in philanthropic and social events to connect you to our inclusive culture.

Typical tasks within Macquarie Capital might include financial modeling, drafting pitch books or helping run key transaction work streams on live deals. Learn from our industry experts as you intern in one of these areas:
Coverage and Solutions – this could include industry coverage groups such as Aerospace, Defense & Government Services, Consumer Gaming & Leisure, Financial Institutions, Healthcare, Industrials, Infrastructure, Software & Services as well as product groups such as Debt Capital Markets and Equity Capital Markets.
Infrastructure and Energy Capital – this includes infrastructure advisory, energy principal and infrastructure investment and development.
What you offer

Our global corporate advisory, investing, development and equities capabilities are underpinned by a full spectrum of capital markets solutions and deep sector expertise, with a focus on infrastructure and real assets, technology, software and services, and resources, energy and materials.
Salary range
Estimated salary amount is the equivalent of $US70,000 - $110,000 annually, prorated for the length of time of the internship. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
