Join the Macquarie Capital Finance team as a Manager within our Financial Management Group. What role will you play?

You will partner with the Macquarie Capital business on the accounting implications of their business and investments, recognizing and communicating potential opportunities for more efficient outcomes. Utilizing your technical accounting expertise and transaction advisory experience, you will advise on accounting for new principal investments, restructurings, and other complex transactions.

You will also provide oversight of the investments over their lifecycle by ensuring proper adherence of the investments to the financial control framework, and reviewing and challenging key inputs and assumptions in areas of accounting judgment including credit provisioning and valuations prepared by the business.

Salary range for this position: $100,000-140,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. 

What you offer

  • Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant with technical accounting and transaction support experience in Finance
  • 4 - 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong accounting background with an ability to apply technical knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP in a transaction environment. Specific experience with IFRS 9, IFRS 10, and IAS 28 would be beneficial.
  • Experience in researching technical accounting matters.
  • Ability to manage wide-ranging and competing priorities, transactions, and stakeholders.
