Our Compliance Control Room is part of the Risk Management Group and manages Macquarie’s information barriers, conflicts of interest, transaction management and position reporting, in addition to research compliance advisory.

What role you will play?

You will be responsible for the surveillance over the firm's information barriers and review of the firm’s trading activities for Restricted List violations. You will have regular interaction with stakeholders in the front office as well as within Compliance and the wider Risk Management team. Our team are a dynamic global team located across six offices - Sydney, Hong Kong, London, New York, Manila and Jacksonville, FL.

  • An investigative mindset with high attention to detail,
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills,
  • Strong analytical skills and maturity to handle confidential information and escalate issues
  • Prior surveillance experience with a good understanding of capital markets, investment banking and key rules and regulations around handling of inside information would be beneficial.

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
