Our Business Operational Risk Management (BORM) team works across all global regions to support Macquarie’s business streams and formulate advice on risk mitigation, process enhancements and innovation opportunities in line with Macquarie’s Operational Risk Management framework.

What role you will play?

Managing a diverse book of work, you will perform end to end process analytics and reviews to support your stakeholders in proactively identifying design and performance gaps and enhancement opportunities. You will present risk findings and data to senior internal forums and committees and work collaboratively with your team on appropriate responses. From time to time, you will also have the opportunity to facilitate risk workshops and training and participate in reviews of group wide policies and procedures.

What you offer

  • Previous experience in internal/external audit or risk management from an operational perspective
  • Solid knowledge of business support operations with an understanding of the trade lifecycle and financial products such as commodities, financial markets, equity derivatives and/or cash equities
  • Ability to think laterally in complex scenarios, grasp business and process concepts effectively combined with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure effectiveness in leading conversations with business leaders and risk management colleagues regarding anticipated and emerging risks.
