The Sustainability team within Macquarie Asset Management is responsible for setting the overall sustainability strategy and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) framework, providing specialist expertise on environmental and certain social matters, and supporting asset management teams in harnessing ESG opportunities across the portfolio.

What role will you play?

You will act as an internal and external consultant for integrating ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) best practices into the Fixed Income investment life cycle within the Macquarie Asset Management Credit team.

As the primary ESG contact for all investment teams across Credit’s Fixed Income business, including client engagement, implementation of the businesses’ sustainability strategy throughout the fund lifecycle, regulation, reporting, governance and more, you will drive the implementation and execution of our Net Zero roadmap including our engagement strategy by building strong relationships and leveraging the expertise of both the Fixed Income and Sustainability teams. 

What you offer

  • 5+ years of professional experience ideally in the asset management industry and with a focus on fixed income or equities.
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in sustainability or ESG
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to navigate a large, complex and matrixed organisation
  • Commercial mindset with an ability to apply a sustainability lens to business strategy and outcomes.
