A six‑month internship with Macquarie Capital’s Private Credit team in Paris offers hands‑on exposure to large‑scale private credit investments across multiple sectors within a global platform. From your first day, you will develop solid insight into private credit investing and contribute directly to ongoing transactions.

What role will you play?

As an off-cycle intern, you will work closely with experienced investment professionals to help our clients and partners realise opportunities as part of Macquarie Capital’s Principal Finance team. Since 2009, the team has built deep experience deploying capital across sectors and geographies, supported by a global platform executing sizable and complex transactions.

You will support the deal team in analysing potential investment opportunities, including credit analysis, business planning and financial modelling, market research, and due diligence assessments. Subject to deal flow, you may also contribute to the execution of live transactions across Europe.

As part of the Paris-based team, you will be given early responsibility and support the deal team across all stages of the investment process within a lean, highly collaborative European Private Credit platform.

What you offer

  • You are a motivated student in your final year or gap year at a leading business or engineering school, with a strong interest in finance.
  • Prior experience in corporate finance advisory, M&A, private equity, private debt, leveraged finance, or transaction services.
  • Excellent communication skills, with professional fluency in both French and English.
