What role will you play? 

As an intern in Macquarie Asset Management, you'll be a part of providing investment solutions to a broad range of clients. You'll play a role in managing assets like electricity networks, renewable energy platforms and farms or help invest in hospitals, aged-care facilities and other essential businesses.

You'll learn from industry experts as you are placed in one of our Macquarie Asset Management teams based on your skills, experience and interests matched with our business need.

This could include our Real Estate or our Secondaries team.

As part of this ten-week internship, you will:
  • Complete meaningful and challenging work allowing you to gain practical experience to tie into your theoretical knowledge from school. Typical tasks can include collaborating with senior management on the execution of new investment opportunities through financial modeling, analysis and diligence of assets, platform companies, fund portfolios or investments. 
  • Take part in an orientation where you'll learn about Macquarie's business groups with your fellow interns and receive technical training.
  • Receive support and guidance from your manager and aligned mentor.
  • Participate in philanthropic and social events to connect you to our inclusive culture.
  • Present a project that you worked on during the program to senior management.



What you offer

  • You have a unique perspective. We want to hear it. This internship is for students expecting to graduate between December 2025 - June 2026.
  • You are a critical thinker with strong numerical skills who can articulate their thoughts and ideas clearly.
  • You like to collaborate with others and are comfortable building strong working relationships.
  • You have an interest in financial services and bring a proactive, resourceful and positive attitude as well as a strong work ethic.
  • You have a strong attention to detail with experience and comfort in Excel.



Salary Range

Estimated salary amount is the equivalent of $70,000 - $110,000 annually, prorated for the length of time of the internship. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector and geographic location.
