Join our Business Services team, responsible for the strategic direction and ongoing management of the Corporate Real Estate, Group Procurement, Resilience and Global Security for Macquarie.

What role will you play?

As a Technical Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analysing and improving Business Services technology systems and solutions. You will work closely with both the IT department and business units to understand their needs, analyse technical requirements, and provide insights that will drive our technology strategy forward. Your expertise will ensure that our technology footprint is efficient, secure and aligned with our business objectives.

You will work on a variety of business services initiatives, which include delivering future proof workplace services, procurement solutions and support sourcing exercised by providing requirements and analysing solutions.

  • Demonstrated experience in a Technical Analyst role or a similar capacity within an IT or technology-focused environments 
  • Solid understanding of software development practices and project management frameworks and tools
  • Familiarity with the entire lifecycle of solution architecture development within agile frameworks, including the application of architectural principles, adherence to standard design patterns and the implementation of industry best practices
  • Familiarity with Architecture and Design documents common standards and notations such as UML
  • Exceptional communication abilities, with a track record of customer engagement and the capability to produce clear documentation and presentations 
  • Proven competence in collaborating effectively with business sponsors, analysts, project managers, developers, testers and various other stakeholders to refine both functional and non-functional requirements, all while aligning with organisational standards and policies
  • The skill to analyse and communicate complex technical concepts to audiences without a technical background
  • A solid grasp of emerging technology trends and best practices, with hands-on experience in AWS or similar technology platforms being advantageous
