Join our Macquarie Asset Management Credit team in Sydney where you will be part of the global fixed income business. With bespoke investment strategies, the team invests across the full spectrum of fixed income from private to public markets across rates, credit and currency, our successful track record has seen us grow to be Australia's largest fixed income manager.

What role will you play?

Focusing on portfolios managed for Australian clients, you will primarily be responsible for monitoring positioning and ensuring risk is consistent across strategies to achieve client return targets. You will have exposure to domestic and global rates markets and assist with currency hedging within fixed income portfolios and specialised currency hedging strategies.
You will assist the team with the setting and implementation of risk across portfolios covering interest rate duration, curve positioning, swap spread and sector. You will also be required to build and maintain close ties between the different fixed income professionals in Australia and overseas, but also across the wider business to assist client reporting and to resolve potential trade or portfolio performance issues.

What you offer

  • Experience in fixed income, across either across funds management or sell side markets
  • Interest in macroeconomics and macro drivers of financial markets with knowledge of rates and FX markets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Experience with programming systems such as Python
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and strong academic record. CFA candidacy or qualification will be highly regarded.
