Our Business Management team plays a central role in supporting the Personal Banking division at Macquarie, driving both daily operations and strategic development. Working within the Chief Operating Officer’s team, we collaborate across sales, product, finance, and risk to ensure the division runs smoothly and achieves its objectives.

What role will you play?

As a Manager within the Business Management team, you will help deliver operational stability and strategic progress for Personal Banking, working closely with stakeholders to support performance, budgets, risk, and key priorities. You will translate data into decisions through analysis of business performance, enable governance and reporting, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and target-setting processes. You will drive efficiency through process improvements and automation, deliver strategic deep-dives, and equip the sales team with actionable, data-driven insights and performance outputs. You will also support clear communication, foster a collaborative team culture, and gain broad exposure while building strong commercial and analytical expertise.

  • Prior experience in a strategy or operations role, within the financial services sector
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience working with financial and operational data to track performance, identify trends, and draw commercial insights; proficiency in Excel is essential and ThoughtSpot is highly valued
  • Excellent communication skills that allow you to translate complex data and analysis into clear, compelling narratives for a range of stakeholders
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands and maintain momentum across a diverse workload
  • High attention to detail and sound commercial acumen, with a genuine curiosity about business performance and what drives it
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, with a strong bias to action and a strategic mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and navigate ambiguity and change with confidence
  • Being CA/CPA qualified is not essential, but will be advantageous.
