Join our Commodities and Global Markets team in Japan and provide compliance oversight and advisory services to both Macquarie Energy Japan Limited and Macquarie Capital Securities Japan Limited, Tokyo Branch.

What role will you play?

As an experienced Compliance professional, you will be responsible for providing compliance advice, monitoring, oversight and regulatory engagement to support the Japan Commodities and Global Market Group businesses focusing on the activities in the entities above.

In addition, you will develop and maintain relationships with relevant regulators, including the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, as well as other relevant energy and financial regulators.

What you offer

  • Experience with Japanese rules and regulations related to electricity/commodities trading and knowledge of products in this area
  • Industry Experience in the electricity/energy sector or financial and physical commodities businesses
  • Experience engaging with regulators such as the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry or other energy regulators
  • A team-oriented mindset with prior experience in guiding or mentoring junior team members
  • The ability to work independently, handle multiple demands, meet deadlines and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative skills to work in partnership with key regional/global stakeholders
  • Fluency in Japanese and business-level English.
