This is an exciting opportunity to join the Commodities and Global Markets (CGM) business group, in our global Client Operations function, based in Paris. 

The team is responsible for providing support to the Sales and Origination staff in Paris covering the EU market and responsible for two key functions - client onboarding and business facilitation.

What role will you play?

With client onboarding, you will execute and oversee all aspects of ‘the mandatory client experience’ by ensuring our clients’ expectations at onboarding (and refresh) are clearly managed from requirement requests through to sourcing completion, with direct support throughout the process. Our sales staff will rely on you for process updates knowing that the coordination of internal stakeholder processes are in capable, competent and trusted hands. You’ll be required to rapidly build and maintain credible relationships, navigating and coordinating across stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.

With business facilitation, you will support our sales staff in Paris by creating budgets, growth projections and strategy presentations for consumption by various committees, including the Board. You will also assist with coordination for new client-related initiatives, which will include identifying potential new clients and cross-selling opportunities across CGM business activities for existing clients.

Your key deliverables will include direct engagement with clients, to facilitate seamless and efficient due diligence processes such as onboarding and refresh, manage and coordinate reverse KYC, where the client is onboarding Macquarie, and ensure the ongoing compliance of our KYC regulations, contributing to the design of optimal approaches for future regulatory changes.

You will also be responsible for engaging with origination teams and other internal stakeholders to review and propose process improvements, to support new client activity and prepare strategy materials, including business growth projections, for senior stakeholders within the business.

  • Know Your Customer (KYC) / Client Lifecycle Maintenance (CLM) experience gained in a financial services, or consulting environment. Your knowledge of onboarding policies and jurisdictional relevant KYC regulations will be important for this role.
  • Commodities or markets experience will be an advantage with European language skills being critical for this role. 
  • You will have a continuous improvement mindset and consider efficiency, agility and risk management uplifts in all that you do. 
  • You will have excellent project management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills and be client-centric in all that you do. 
  • This role works within a multi-paced and dynamic environment which welcomes constructive input and innovative ideas from all members of the team, strong attention to detail, critical thinking and problem solving skills will be important will be important for your success in the role.
