What role will you play?

In this role, you will be part of the team implementing our Data Management Framework across Macquarie’s operating and support groups. Are you a talented and driven governance / platform Engineer? Join our Enterprise Data Platforms team to build strategic solutions that enable Macquarie to effectively govern data across the organisation.
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining workflows and collibra & platform solutions, ensuring they are scalable and performant. You will work closely with technology and business SMEs to enhance your knowledge and understanding of the data governance domain and related insights.

  • Collibra Administration:
    • Install, configure, and maintain Collibra Data Governance Center.
    • Develop and manage workflows, business glossaries, and data dictionaries within Collibra.
    • Collaborate with data stewards and data owners to ensure data governance policies are enforced.
    • Monitor and optimize the performance of the Collibra platform.
  • Platform Engineering:
    • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms and their respective services
    • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.) and automation tools.

o   API integration experience , Good SQL experience

    • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable data platforms.
    • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data platform deployments.
    • Ensure the security and compliance of data platforms.
    • Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Skills & Experience:
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data governance and platform engineering.

o   Experience working in development roles within Banking and Financial services.

    • Work closely with data engineering, data science, and IT teams to support data initiatives.
    • Provide training and support to users on Collibra and data platform functionalities.
    • In-depth knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
