What role will you play?

In this role, you will be responsible for hiring, mentoring, and coaching engineers and aspiring engineering leaders within your teams. You will build high performing yet psychologically safe environments that enable engineers to do their best work. You will own the engineering process, including agile delivery ceremonies, and collaborate with engineering leaders from other teams or platforms to resolve issues impacting delivery.

You will ensure that high code quality, testing, and security standards are integral to the team culture. Working closely with Product Managers, you will ensure the team understands the problems they are trying to solve. You will be accountable for the reliability and uptime of the applications your team owns, participating in incident management and team roster activities, and demonstrating ownership when issues arise in your domain.

You will run incident post-mortems and ensure that any actions are completed to improve applications over time. Additionally, you will manage any technology suppliers involved in the delivery of your service.


What you offer

  • Relevant experience managing data engineering teams working on Data and Analytics Platforms
  • Strong technical background in one or more Big Data solutions such as Data Warehousing, Data Platforms, Data
  • Frameworks, Data Pipelines using ETL/ELT technologies and SQL.
  • Ability to drive innovation and efficiency in your team via adoption of Gen AI and automation
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with proven success at delivering complex engineering initiatives
  • A critical thinker and problem solver with solid understanding of how to build scalable, maintainable and performant software
  • Ability to communicate clearly with product and technology stakeholders across the organisation
