What role will you play?

You will play a key role in building, implementing and enhancing enterprise scale data platforms.  Your focus will be to architect, develop, and coordinate the management of a robust, scalable, and efficient platform utilising GCP services to enhance the platform's capabilities, ensuring it is secure, reliable, and efficient infrastructure.

You will be involved in developing high quality, low maintenance software solutions for our Data and AI platform. You will also be involved in coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; development, peer code reviews and testing. Our strong development team will offer you the opportunity to learn from senior developers about product and solutions servicing multiple businesses.

What you offer

  • 5+ years of enterprise engineering experience in a mature cloud environment
  • Experience in designing and managing operations, integrations and deployments for tools such as Google BigQuery, Airflow orchestration, building data pipelines with Dataflow, Pub/Sub
  • Demonstrated proficiency using scripting languages (e.g. Python, Shell) for automating platform management and deployment.
  • Experience with or familiarity with AI and machine learning applications.
  • Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for managing infrastructure through code.
  • Extensive knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and platform management (Kubernetes).
  • Experience using DevOps tools like Maven, Bamboo, JIRA, GIT (stash or bitbucket), Nexus/Artifactory
  • Experience in monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver) and techniques to ensure platform reliability and performance.
  • Experience with encryption, IAM, network security, and compliance requirements for cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of how to manage and optimise cloud costs
