The Macquarie Capital Information Management team supports and enables the global business by establishing the frameworks, policies and controls that underpin effective records management, data protection and information lifecycle practices. What role will you play?

As an Information Governance Manager, you will support the continued uplift of Macquarie Capital’s information governance and data protection capability. Your focus will be ensuring information assets are managed in line with internal policy, regulatory obligations and business needs, while enabling practical, efficient outcomes for the business.

Working within the Information Management team, you will partner with Technology, Risk, Legal and business stakeholders to coordinate and deliver governance initiatives and remediation programmes. A key part of the role is operating and maturing our Data Loss Prevention (DLP) environment, helping the business handle information securely and compliantly. You will also contribute to process improvement and automation efforts that reduce risk, improve efficiency and support scalable growth across MacCap. Additionally, you will help manage the deployment and usage of AI solutions across the business, ensuring they align with governance frameworks, regulatory requirements and responsible use principles.

This is a hands on, technically oriented role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, building practical solutions and operating at the intersection of information governance, security and business operations. You will be accountable for delivering outcomes and driving continuous improvement.

  • Experience working in information governance, information management, data governance or data protection within a regulated environment, with the judgement and attention to detail required when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem solving skills, and can translate risk and control requirements into pragmatic business outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly and credibly with a diverse range of stakeholders across business, technology, risk and legal, and take ownership for delivering initiatives end to end. 
  • Comfortable managing dependencies, driving adoption and embedding change.
  • Practical experience applying information governance tools in a regulated environment, including Microsoft 365, identity and access management platforms, and other enterprise tools. 
  • Experience streamlining processes, delivering automation through scripting or low code solutions, and exposure to the development and usage of AI-driven tools will be highly regarded.
