What role will you play?

You will be part of a team that is responsible for the operational management, from pre-settlement to maturity, of a varied investment portfolio of debt and equity transactions across a wide range of industries in both the corporate and real estate sectors. Working closely with key internal stakeholders, including front office, risk, finance, and legal teams, you’ll oversee the systems setup, settlement, and ongoing management for transactions whilst ensuring that our risk management framework, policies, and procedures are met.
 
The key responsibilities include overseeing primary and secondary loan and equity bookings and ongoing administration in LoanIQ and other associated systems. This involves managing a portfolio of bilateral and syndicated debt and equity positions, reviewing and approving payments, and managing funding. Additionally, navigating and negotiating loan documentation to facilitate deal booking is required.
 
You'll be responsible for the funding and management of deal cash flows and ensuring the timely management of borrower covenants and information undertakings. The role also involves submitting KYC requests and managing conflicts checks, ensuring compliance with the risk management framework, policies, and procedures, and overseeing the settling of secondary loan/bonds trades, both manually and via Clearpar.
 
You'll be leading and mentoring a team of associates, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development, fostering a collaborative, proactive, and high-performing team environment, and supervising the processing of loan utilisations, rollovers, interest payments (cash and PIK), repayments, and prepayments.

  • Strong academic record with tertiary qualifications in accounting, economics, finance, or business disciplines.
  • At least 7 years of experience in loan administration or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years using LoanIQ or an equivalent corporate loan management system.
  • Proven managerial experience, with the ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong numerical skills, Excel proficiency, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to work.
