What role will you play?

You will conduct in-depth credit reviews and analyses of Commodities and Global Markets' counterparties in the Asia region, focusing on the Korea corporate clients, as well as collaborate with global credit offices to secure credit approvals, partner with Macquarie's business groups to evaluate new products and transactions, and provide well-founded recommendations to credit approvers. Additionally, you will assist in structuring transactions, reviewing legal terms and offering general advice and analysis.

You will perform annual and new reviews of counterparties, stay updated on portfolio developments and address ad-hoc credit requests. You will also maintain strong connections across the commodities market to stay informed of the latest news and developments.

What you offer

  • Over 5 years of experience in a large financial institution, commodity trading company, or major commodity producer
  • Ability to prepare counterparty assessments, credit memos, and internal credit recommendations
  • Understanding of or interest in OTC derivatives (commodities and/or financial products)
  • Comfort with ISDA/CSA documentation or willingness to learn; experience with credit terms negotiation is a plus
  • Ability to form and articulate credit views with sound judgment and commercial awareness
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in business level Korean to liaise with the Korean sales desk and clients
  • Familiarity with Korean markets and corporates, ideally with exposure to commodities related sectors
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage relationships with internal stakeholders (including the Korean desk) and external Korean clients
  • High level of ownership in a fast paced environment, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and commitment to continuous improvement
