Join our Market Operations division within Macquarie's Corporate Operations Group, which provides independent specialist verification, confirmation, booking and settlement facilities for a variety of products and currencies for many of Macquarie's businesses globally. What role will you play?

In this role, you will focus on various aspects of margining related to stock banking and lending. Positioned on the trading floor, you will provide operational support to the Equity Trading and Derivatives business, trading a wide range of listed and unlisted equity-based products across Australia, Asia, EMEA, and the US. You will ensure all margin calls are issued by the required cut-offs daily, respond to margin calls accurately and promptly, manage daily reconciliations, and ensure all payments are processed daily.
Additionally, you will be responsible for distributing client reporting as per schedules, reporting disputes to credit daily, and seeking resolutions with the business and client. You will manage collateral eligibility criteria with clients promptly and work on new initiatives with various business areas to ensure successful delivery. The division provides a key control function for wholesale businesses, focusing on operational excellence through business-aligned services with an emphasis on quality, cost, and risk.

What you offer

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and prioritise competing tasks.
  • Track record of implementing and generating new ideas to improve processes
  • Interest or understanding of stock banking and lending
  • Knowledge of the market around hedge funds and current regulatory changes.
  • 2+ years of experience in middle office operations
