We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our internal non-financial risk reporting within the Risk Management Group. This pivotal role is part of our Business Operational Risk Management team, which is a Line 1 risk team focused on non-financial risks in our global risk function.

As the Non-Financial Risk Manager and Reporting Lead, you will take the lead to redefine our internal non-financial risk reporting and agenda for the Risk Committee. You will drive the evolution of our non-financial risk reporting, shaping an agenda that not only meets but anticipates the needs of the Risk Committee. To be effective you will leverage your experience in analysing non-financial risks to look across and provide senior management with insights and foresight, drive the development of new metrics that allow us to objectively assess our risk against target (such as Key Risk Indicators or Control Performance Indicators) and oversee delivery of existing risk profile reports to our Risk Management divisions.

  • A solid background in Line 1 operational or non-financial risk, with a proven ability to connect the dots and draw out insights.
  • A track record in risk reporting, especially within operational/non-financial risks.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, including identification of crucial data points, and the ability to draw conclusions and convey key messages to senior management.
  • An eye for detail coupled with the capacity to step out of the detail and appreciate the bigger picture.
  • Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI), advanced Excel skills, and experience in managing data and reporting processes would be beneficial.

About the Risk Management Group

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
