Risk Management Group Credit provides independent risk acceptance of all material wholesale credit risk undertaken at Macquarie. Credit risk is the risk of potential loss arising from a borrower default or otherwise its inability to meet contractual obligations to Macquarie. Our Credit team deploys downside and sensitivity analysis tools in the assessment of the loss severity, whilst working closely with the front office as well as directly with client when evaluating key credit risks and mitigants by performing in-depth analysis of their business model, financial performance and operating environment.

What role will you play?

You will have exposure to a wide range of industries, markets and asset classes, with the opportunity to build strong working relationships across the different business areas at Macquarie. Throughout the internship, you will understand the role of the Credit Risk function within Macquarie’s regulated European Bank entity
be involved in the deal approval process providing exposure to senior management early in your career.

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
