Our Cyber Security Supplier Assurance team supports Macquarie's vendors throughout the end-to-end cyber assessment process to ensure a seamless experience for all staff, clients and external stakeholders. We assist relationship managers comply with supplier assurance requirements specified by the Cyber Security Assurance Standard.

What role will you play?

In your role as Cyber Security Consultant, you will work with a broad range of stakeholders across Macquarie to manage the third-party supply chain risks in accordance with the Macquarie’s Supplier Governance and Information Security framework. You will proactively drive the risk culture by providing the business with pragmatic risk advice, assist them to achieve business objectives within the organisation's risk appetite.

  • Experience performing in depth security assessments of SaaS applications, desktop applications, highly complex integrated public, private and hybrid cloud environments
  • Knowledge of a broad range of cyber security domains, cloud technologies, security protocols, thorough understanding of Generative AI cyber risks
  • Knowledge of security risk, compliance, and control practices with experience in assessing the security posture of suppliers / third Parties.
  • Industry Certification/exam passed in an information security discipline such as CISSP/CISM or relevant (at least one)
  • Experience with PCI DSS, ISO27001, ISM, IRAP and other security standards
  • A thorough understanding of relevant regulatory requirements, standards, and frameworks such as CPS-234, CPS 230, DORA, NYDFS, CSF, CIS, SOC 2 Type 2, NIST-CSF
  • Ability to document security recommendations and trade-offs in a manner that is actionable, pragmatic, concise and coherent
  • Ability to work on multiple assessments with conflicting priorities and timeframes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including quality, precise technical documentation, writing reports and presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior level executives
  • Security Architecture review and threat modelling expertise is not essential but advantageous.
