Our Banking and Financial Services team brings together retail and business banking to provide a wide range of financial products and services. Within Banking and Financial Services, our Treasury team manages key areas such as credit risk modelling, stress testing, capital management, balance sheet risk, funding, and climate risk.

This role is within the credit risk modelling stream within Banking and Financial Services Treasury, who are responsible for IRB regulatory capital models, credit loss provisioning models and credit scorecard models.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will lead the development of retail scorecard models to support our retail lending decisions and ensure we continue to meet regulatory expectations and strengthen our capability. You will be responsible for end-to -end modelling outcomes, work with stakeholders to deliver both risk and commercial outcomes and explain complex concepts in a clear and practical way.

What you offer

  • 7+ years of experience in quantitative modelling within financial services, with clear career progression 
  • Proven experience in building scorecard models from the ground up
  • Strong knowledge of statistics and quantitative methods, supported by a degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering or actuarial science 
  • Experience leading small project teams of 2–3 people and supporting the growth of junior colleagues 
  • Strong understanding of retail lending products and commercial acumen
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex modelling concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
