Our direct tax reporting team is responsible for tax accounting and reporting across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). The team works closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure accurate financial outcomes and compliance with evolving tax regulations. We drive process improvements and support strategic initiatives that enhance our international tax environments. By collaborating across functions, we help maintain the organisation’s growth and integrity on a global scale.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in our advertised location.

What role will you play?

As Manager, you will lead complex tax reporting activities across multiple regions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver process enhancements and ensure regulatory compliance. You will support corporate tax accounting, review reconciliations, and sign off on tax notes for statutory accounts. In this role, you will mentor team members, provide training, and contribute strategic insights to high-impact projects. You will also act as a key point of contact between leadership and the broader finance function, supporting the organisation’s financial outcomes and growth.

• Experience in a comparable Manager position within an accountancy firm, with post-qualification experience in an in-house tax reporting function
• Strong technical expertise in UK tax
• Background in corporate tax for large organisations and consolidated groups, including tax accounting and compliance
• Exposure to European (non-UK) tax accounting and compliance
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Highly ambitious, energetic, and committed to professional growth
• Solid financial and risk control skills
• Adaptable to ongoing business changes, with excellent communication abilities
