Join our team and help drive optimisation and operational excellence within our Middleware Services. As a DevOps Engineer, you will support various platforms and have the opportunity to deliver industry-first, cloud-hosted JBoss and messaging services for Macquarie.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will work with various technical team members across different business to support application-to-application connectivity and integrations with external partners via various middleware platforms. You will provide hands-on operational support for middleware infrastructure technologies, such as IBM MQ, Solace Messaging, Axway Secure Transport (MFT), and JBoss. Additionally, you will administer and perform daily operational tasks for IBM MQ, Solace PubSub+ Messaging, and Axway Secure Transport.

What you offer

  • 6+ years of experience in administration, supporting highly available messaging platforms such as IBM MQ or Solace, with an in-depth understanding of messaging as a whole and its role in an enterprise.
  • Good knowledge of several core AWS services (S3, IAM, EC2, ELB, CloudFormation), along with experience in continuous integration/continuous development approaches.
  • Experience in deploying and configuring SSL certificates on IBM MQ or Solace. Additional experience in scripting for automation of application deployments and other infrastructure components, and knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with OAM, SSL, fix packs, and Pub/Sub.
