You will be a key member of our Financial Control team, supporting the delivery of end-to-end transaction advisory and financial control for the Macquarie Capital business which includes products such as Advisory, Underwriting, and Principal Investing.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will use your technical accounting knowledge to advise Macquarie Capital on new principal transactions and assess fees for revenue recognition. In addition, you will be responsible for balance sheet and profit and loss activities including General Ledger close activities, confirming accuracy, understanding key controls and judgements, and stakeholder communications.

You will provide technical accounting support for new business initiatives (such as new products or features) and have the opportunity to implement and monitor the financial control framework. You will also drive process improvements and automation to build a scalable finance function that supports Macquarie Capital’s strategy.

What you offer

• 6 - 8 years of post-qualification experience in public accounting and/or corporate finance
• Tertiary degree in accounting or similar and CA/CPA qualified (or in progress)
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Demonstrated curiosity (the ability to challenge the status quo) and a willingness to learn
• Previous experience in financial services preferred
• Technical accounting expertise and/or the ability to work in a large operationally complex environment will be highly considered.
