Our Macquarie Securities division has been active in the global equities markets for more than 25 years, including 21 years in the New Zealand stock market. You will join our highly regarded Auckland based New Zealand Equities Research team in a part-time role for a 12-month max term contract, with hours ranging from 5-15 per week.

What role will you play?

You will support a small team of equity research analysts who develop industry and listed company insights focusing on the New Zealand market.

You will update internal and client-generated Excel databases, extract and format data from Bloomberg and other third-party information providers, CRM/readership data analysis, and assist in compiling week ahead calendar of NZX company releases/economic and regulatory news.

What you offer

  • You will be an undergraduate in their penultimate year of university, studying a commerce, law or economics degree based in Auckland. Note- please include as part of your application your academic transcripts to date
  • Prior experience with Excel, Bloomberg, IRESS & Python is advantageous though not essential
  • A keen interest in companies and markets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
