Join our Operational Risk Team based in Sydney and be part of the shift towards a data and insights driven approach to Operational Risk Management. This team plays a key role in providing operational support across group-wide reporting, data quality management and monitoring and overseeing the implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework.

What role will you play?

As a Senior Analyst, you will act as a strategic partner to the Operational Risk team, aligning reporting and analytic offerings with their strategic and operational needs by analysing and understanding business changes and framework developments and assessing their implications on Operational Risk and reporting.

You will collaborate with the broader team to explore how data, analytics, automation and AI can enhance Operational Risk capabilities and lead and manage projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies or developing new insights.

In addition, you will work closely with stakeholders to translate their needs into technical requirements, assist in the preparation and review of management reports and offer ongoing data and reporting supporting.

What you offer

  • Prior experience in Operational Risk, Management Consulting or similar within the Financial Services Industry.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders across data, risk and the business.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel and SQL
  • Prior experience with risk management systems will be highly regarded

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
