Join our Environmental and Social Risk team in Singapore and play a key role in providing guidance on the management of environmental and social risks across Asia and ANZ.

What role will you play?

As an Associate, you will be joining a team responsible for providing advice on environmental and social risks in transactions, developing and implementing group wide policies and guidance on ESR. You will be involved in supporting the ESR review, technical analysis and monitoring of Macquarie’s transactions and clients, and working with Macquarie’s business groups to review new products and transactions under the ESR policy.

In addition, you will implement ESR policies, systems and projects, prepare programme materials, presentations, data analysis, training and communications on ESR topics and projects, provide support to internal working groups and monitor sector and ESR topic trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

What you offer

  • Experience in environmental social risk, ESG or sustainability, ideally gained in a financial institution, professional services firm or government 
  • Relevant qualification in an appropriate discipline such as Environmental Science, Sustainability or Business
  • Ability to undertake quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders and build strong working relationships.

About the Risk Management Group

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
