What role will you play?

As a Data Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain data models that support efficient data storage and retrieval. You will develop and manage ETL/ELT processes, optimise data pipelines on cloud platforms, and utilise big data technologies for large-scale data processing. 

Your role will also involve automating data workflows, collaborating with team members to address data management issues, and developing real-time data pipelines and streaming applications. You will have the opportunity to learn from the best engineers and leaders in Australia and work on market-leading products, using the latest cloud technologies, including Google Cloud, to tackle interesting banking and finance problems

What you offer

• 5+ years with strong working knowledge of both relational and NoSQL database systems, with proficiency in designing efficient data models
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud, and familiarity with ETL, ELT, and DBT tools
• Proficiency in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka, along with strong scripting and automation skills such as Python or Bash
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills
• Familiarity with lambda and kappa architectures, and experience with real-time pipelines and streaming technologies is advantageous.
